WatchStudy privacy policy

WatchStudy stores study data on your devices and private iCloud account, with limited analytics and optional AI requests used only to provide requested features.

Information WatchStudy collects

WatchStudy stores decks, flashcards, and study progress locally on your devices and can sync them through your private iCloud account.

If you use AI features such as deck generation or import cleanup, the study text you submit is sent through the app's proxy path only to fulfill that request.

Product analytics

WatchStudy collects anonymous product analytics and derived study-topic metadata to understand activation, study flows, sync reliability, and product usage.

For standard event analytics, WatchStudy does not send raw flashcard text, raw deck contents, or raw prompts.

  • app opens
  • onboarding progress
  • deck creation
  • study session starts and completions
  • paywall interaction
  • sync reliability
  • device and platform usage
  • coarse derived deck categories such as law, math, language, or medicine

Session replay and diagnostics

WatchStudy uses session replay on iPhone to understand navigation and usability issues.

Replay is configured to avoid network payload capture and to mask selected sensitive surfaces, but visual session data can still process visible on-screen study content if it appears outside an explicitly masked area.

Third-party services

WatchStudy may rely on Apple iCloud for sync, Cloudflare for proxying app services and analytics ingestion, PostHog for analytics, Google Gemini for AI generation when you choose to use it, and RevenueCat for subscription management.

Payment details remain handled by Apple and the App Store purchase flow.

Data deletion and contact

You can delete local study data inside the app, remove the app from your devices, and manage synced data through your Apple and iCloud settings where applicable.
